A movie I return to now and then is ‘A Scanner Darkly‘. When I watch it I find myself observing the colors and forms more than paying attention to the story that I know so well. With exception. There is one particular scene in which the protagonist (Keanu Reeves) has completely lost his sense of self. He ponders over a suspect he is investigating, unbeknownst to him is that HE is that suspect and is investigating himself. This scene moves me more and more with the passage of time.
“APPROACH”; absence of self in the murky contrasts of our surroundings.
While painting the camera was rolling. This piece was completed in just under 4 hours, I felt no hesitation as I fell into a trance while the headphones played Chris Liebing.

Went straight to bed last night so I could wake up early and ship out one the paintings I sold; APPROACH http://www.jabinya.com/blog/?p=208
@Jabinya I really like approach. I may use it as inspiration for future work if that’s ok…
@Jabinya no. Just inspiration! Thanks! (besides, I don’t think I could duplicate your quality anyway!)
@dpringle As long as you don’t intend to make a excact duplication, I’m cool with it.
