GaGa
GaGa is the fourth in a series of five vinyl LP paintings I completed in March 2009.
In February 2009, I was introduced to Lady Gaga’s music. Repeating a pattern, I knew immediately I must paint her even though I had no idea what she looked like. After browsing through many of her pictures online I found a set of her shopping in Paris that caught my eye. Having a very good feeling about this piece I positioned my camera overhead to capture the creation. This painting flowed out of me so quickly! In all, it took me 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete.
