Since I couldn’t sleep last night I got up and sat down at the easel. Now eight hours later, this painting has taken a different direction from what I expected. It is based on a reference photo of Yulia Katkova that she has graciously let me use. My color palette has changed over the night into a strange earthy hue. I like it.
As soon as I wake up from a short nap I’m about to take, I’ll be back at the easel doing what I enjoy doing; painting.

Beautifully done! You have captured the intense focus, as if the person were to take their eyes off the subject, the world would explode!
